New to Lacrosse ?
It's never too Late to start playing Lacrosse.
If you want to start REAL EARLY we have a program for 3-7 year olds . We have partnered with LIL' Kids Lax, an innovative first start program run by local Lacrosse legends Tom Kessler and Hills West Alumn David DiMaria !! NO equipment is needed, there will be a link on the website for registration.
If you think you are starting late, don't Worry ! Some of the world's best players did not start playing the game until High School, and beyond ! Our program plays a formal schedule in the Spring through the Nassau County Police Athletic League (NCPAL). Our teams play games against teams from other towns on Long Island.
Registration for our new spring season begins in December. We run an indoor skills clinic from december through March, and then we go outside. Practices are generally weekdays , once a week. Games are also once a week, generally on Sundays. Practice days and times will vary to allow you to try multiple sports. Lacrosse coaches love multisport athletes, and we KNOW it is safer for kids to avoid specializing too early.
We also offer Fall/Winter training and for those looking for more competitive lacrosse without the expense of formal Travel teams, we offer Team Hills, which plays in Tournaments throughout the winter and spring.
for 2nd - 6th grade the Registration is around $300 and includes a practice pinny, uniform, and USA lacrosse membership. LIL kids lax is a seperate registration run by a professional lacrosse training organization, we will include a link to their registration when available.
our K-1 clinic is $100
Pease check out the Parent Portal for intructional YouTube videos and more information on Lacrosse.
The Fall/Winter skills Clinic is a separate program that is open to Hills players Grades 3rd-7th on the Girls side and 3rd-8th on the boys side. It begins outdoors and then goes indoor at the Team 91 facility in Commack in December. This program focuses on stick skills and fundamentals . The TEAM HILLS TOURNAMENT TEAMS compete in 2-3 tournaments in early spring. The tournament teams will be selected from the skills clinics players. Please note, if you plan to play on tournament teams, you MUST also register for PAL if you are in 2nd-6th grade. If you are selected and elect to play in the tournaments there is a small fee to cover the tournament registrations.
Hills Youth Lacrosse has both Boys and Girls Programs.
